Melissa – Curt O’neil Photography

Melissa decided on chocolate brown strapless chiffon dresses for her bridesmaids.  They had a ruched sweetheart neckline with a satin band at the empire line and pleated skirt.

Kristen and Shane – Lori Studios

Kristen and her sister came to see me with their fabric in hand.  Kristen wanted each of her bridesmaid’s to pick their own style of dress to compliment their own body but kept the look consistent with them all being in the same fabric.  I love how the lace complimented the natural outdoor theme of the wedding.

For my own wedding I designed cotton eyelet dresses for my bridesmaids.  They had a scoop neck with a natural waist and pleated skirt complete with pockets!  I wanted them to each have their own look so Rebecca added a black patent belt to her dress and I told them to wear any black shoe they loved.

Erin – Matt Vardy Photography

Erin chose a beautiful royal blue cotton fabric for her bridesmaid’s dresses.  They had a halter sweetheart neckline with inset band detailing and a gathered skirt.  I thought they looked gorgeous on her bridesmaids!

For Colby’s Costa Rican wedding she wanted her bridesmaid’s in something simple and elegant. They were both able to choose their own necklines but to keep the look consistent they had the same skirt and the same contrast band as Colby’s wedding dress.  They were both made in the same sand coloured silk dupioni.  Perfect for a beach wedding.

Andrea – BoX Photography

Andrea had a beach wedding in Hamilton and since the guys were wearing linen suits why not have the girls in linen dresses.  Andrea chose a beautiful aqua blue handkerchief linen for her strapless bridesmaid’s dresses.  There were 2 girls on the groom’s side so they had a contrast linen band at the empire line to match the groomsmen’s suits.

Kate – Steve Brooks Photography

Kate lives in Alberta so she let her two sisters make most of the decisions on her bridesmaid’s dress.  After a few back and forth emails between sisters we decided on grey satin charmeuse strapless dresses with a tulip skirt.  I think they were beautiful and Kate thought so too!

Laura’s sister and maid of honour was due to have her first baby 2 weeks before Laura’s wedding so this was definitely a wait as close to the wedding as possible to make the dress situation.  2 weeks before the wedding her sister welcomed their baby girl to the world and I got busy making her navy blue chiffon bridesmaid dress.

Candace – Core Photography

Candace was married in beautiful Jamaica so she wanted her bridesmaid’s dresses to match the breathtaking scenery.  She chose a gorgeous aqua blue chiffon with a contrast white band at the empire line.

Bethany decided on strapless chocolate brown chiffon dresses for her bridesmaids.  They had ruched bodices with gathered skirts and a gathered chiffon band at the empire line.  Perfect for her 7 bridesmaids and even an 8 month pregnant belly.
